I have been teaching computer classes at Linn Benton Community College  for 8 years at the Lebanon and Sweet Home campuses. My classes focus on teaching computer concepts to adults. Many adults and seniors have enjoyed learning about computers in a relaxed, fun environment.

The LBCC Lebanon and Sweet Home campuses have very nice computer labs where I teach with features like huge LCD projectors and the instructor's workstation that can show up on each individual student's screen. I create the entire lesson plan and content for the class and constantly update and add important information as the industry changes.

The classes are not expensive, and they usually last from 4-5 weeks, depending on the class. LBCC has a senior discount too!

Some of the classes I have taught and continue to teach are:

1st and 2nd Step to Computers - this is the basics, the meat and potatoes starting from learning to use the mouse to changing settings on the computer.

Introduction to the Internet - all about using the Internet and learning how to get the most out of it, and how to setup and use email.

Introduction to Digital Photography - Learn the basics of using a digital camera, editing photos and printing them or emailing them.

Adobe Photoshop Elements - Learn more advanced digital photo editing techniques with this powerful program. Starting Fall of 2008 I will be teaching both 1 & 2. The first class is an introduction to the basic tools, and the second class will focus more on using the tools to do specific tasks such as retouching and cleaning up old photos.

Introduction to eBay - Learn how to buy and sell on the popular online auction site. We will actually list a student's item and go through the entire process of selling something, right before your eyes.

Keeping your PC Healthy - PC Maintenance - In this class I teach the basics on keeping your PC healthy and well maintained. I teach about Antivirus programs, anti malware programs, and general software and hardware cleanup tips.

I am working on an advanced digital photo class that will be geared towards Digital SLRs. These cameras are much more advanced and have many more features than the point and shoot. The class will be focused on the features and capabilities of these cameras and how to take better pictures.
